EEW Explosion Proof Light LED TRACK LIGHT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Track light – An ever popular type of lighting since its introduction in the 1960s. Althought it might look complicated to some, but the installation process is pretty straightfoward and relatively easy if you have all the correct tools.
After going through all the steps, we hope it will provide you with a better understanding on how to carry out track light installation. For those who have basic knowledge of electrical safety should be able to carry out the installation work effortlessly, otherwise always engage certified electricians to carry out any installation works.
*Paragon will not be held responsible should there be any mishap or failure during installation or post-installation operation. The instructions below are a general guide to show the installation process of LED track lights.
Step 1: Always ensure the main power supply is switched off before commencing on any electrical installation
Step 2: Should you want to hide your power cables within the walls, do drill a small hole to allow the power cables to pass through.
Step 3: Connect the power cable for track light from main switch to the recently drilled hole.
Step 4: Check if the length of the power cable is sufficient to run from the main switch to the tracks.
Step 5: Hold the track firmly onto the surface which you would like to install on and mark out the points to drill
Step 6: With an electric drill, proceed to drill the wall on the demarcated points.
Step 7: To ensure the screws are able to provide a secure hold, do place a wall plug into each drilled hole.
Step 8: Proceed to tighten the track onto the surface with a screwdriver and screws
Step 9: Should you require further extension, do extend the track with connectors to create a seamless track.
Step 10: If the track is too long, you may saw it off to your desired length with an electric saw or a hand saw.
Step 11: Once you are satisfied with the layout of the tracks, it is time to connect the electrical cables to the track. Ensure wires are properly connected and fastened.
Step 12: After connecting electrical cable to main switch, tidy up any loose ends to keep it neat and tidy.
Step 13: It is time to slide the track lights onto the tracks. Once you are satisfied with the position of the track lights, do remember to lock the track lights to prevent it from sliding around
Step 14:Turn on the main switch to power up the lights to check that all track lights are working properly.
